Working closely with Soundpost Productions LLC, we were tasked with creating a number of CD/DVD package designs for various businesses, individuals and organizations. The subject of this post is the Charlotte Children’s Choir.
Each season, the Charlotte Children’s Choir performed an extraordinarily wonderful children’s choir concert. Sometimes the concert would be performed in the Spring, while other times it would be performed in the Winter. This particular performance wanted to produce a CD package that included both seasons: Winter and Spring.
The Charlotte Children’s Choir of the Community School of the Arts provides choral music education focused on artistic excellence in order to foster the personal, intellectual, and social growth of children.
When we began to think of a design for the two-season CD package, we spent our time listening to the whole production and realized the time, skill, energy, excellence and most importantly the commitment that stood behind each production, it was imperative that we match the same qualities that went into both productions. It was simply what the children deserved.
A Christmas Gloria and A Spring Concert
We designed the cover in the most elegant and simplest way possible. The sounds of the children, together with the music, instilled in us a sense of peace and calm. The melodies and the children’s voices were inspiring. It was that emotional pull that we attempted to instill in the cover art. We hoped that those whom attended the concert would be reminded by the cover while those who did not would get the inspirational sense from the cover.
Working very closely with Soundpost Productions LLC, the whole product was recorded, edited, produced, designed, printed and packaged in Soundpost’s productions studio.
